Hello Doit... I agree, 1948 is huge... but 1967 is bigger. As in Daniel 9:24 states... "Seventy Weeks are determined for your people AND your Holy city." That would encompass 1948 and 1967.

We are now 42 years out from 1967, and 7 years away from the start of a Jubilee cycle. We've got to be on the edge of eternity in my opinion!

Hi Brian, thank you for your comments and kind words. I apologize for the delay in responding. I really need to be more active in monitoring my site again. I love listening to Perry and Bill as I believe they are truly blessed and anointed; however, I still question some of their interpretations. As far as the Rapture goes, I do have a theory, but at this point, I'm just trying to always be prepared and continue to believe in Luke 21:36 "Pray always that you are accounted worthy to escape"; so I do believe one is coming, but we just don't know when at this point!

Keep looking up...

I havent spent much time looking at your site yet but I have to say that your site is what I would like mine to be if I ever had the time to put into it. I really like the name too. I live in Cleveland, TN where Perry Stone and Bill Cloud reside and have their ministries. I am a big fan of Missler's work as well. Its actually a search on a Bill Cloud article that brought me to your site.

Its really interesting to see the differences of opinion in how to interpret God's Word on this and other subjects. I agree with you on your view for the most part. I just question the part about how a part of God's children will be raptured. I try to have an open mind about some things and I will just say that I will look into this theory. I do believe that you are busy as part of the body of Christ. I want to encourage you in what you are doing and I pray that God blesses your work and this site that it may reach the lost.

I agree the rapture will be pre-trib. It's the only position that makes sense. :-)

Mary... The Tribulation Period is defined as "Daniel's 70th Week" in Daniel 9:24-27. AKA "Time of Jacob's Trouble". The "Great Tribulation" is the latter 3.5 years of the Tribulation period as defined in Daniel 12:7:

Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.

Although, the Preterist view believes that it has already happened... by simply the Book of Revelation 1:1-2, you will find that Christ told John to write down the things which must shortly take place:

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.

This means future tense... since Revelation was penned on or about 95 AD... the destruction of the Temple and the so-called Tribulation by the Preterist viewpoint had already taken place by 70 AD. Therefore, the Tribulation and Great Tribulation (last 3.5 years) is still to come.

You also should go and read Luke 21 in its entirety and focus on verses 34-36... along with many other verses in scripture... Jesus is talking about an "escape" Rapture that will take place before the Tribulation.

Hello Ken... thx for your thoughts. I want to make you aware of a post I do have regarding this topic: The Feast of Trumpets and the Return of Christ.

Although I completely disagree with your timing of the Rapture, I do believe that He will return on one of two days... either Pentecost - Shavuot (Feast of Weeks) or Rosh Hashanah (Feast of Trumpets). Most will teach that Christ fulfilled Pentecost; however, I believe that the possibility of the Church Age will conclude on Pentecost just as it started... BEFORE the Tribulation period. The scriptures clearly tell that there is an "escape" coming before the Tribulation. For example, read Luke 21:34-36.

Regardless, keep the faith, remain obedient, and keep looking up my brother!

I am surprised that on such a "knowledgeable" site, that in the discussion of the Messiah's return the Fall Feast days are not even mentioned? I think we can see how He will return the second time by looking at his first coming.

When the Messiah came the first time as Savior and the Word in the flesh, He came and fulfilled all the Spring Feast days to the day and hour. Why do we think His second return He will not do the same. The three final Fall feast Days will all be fulfilled in His second return to the day and the hour. Just like in the Spring Feast days there are only days in between and not years.

Tribulation is the wrath of the anti-christ as he" falls to the earth with great wrath knowing his time is short." The wrath of God is not poured out until the Last Trump and the Body of Christ is taken away at the end of Tribulation. He will return at the Feast of Trumps, Israel will repent in Awe during the ten days of Awe leading up to the Day of Atonement. All Israel will be saved in one day on that day. They will cleanse the temple and Christ will return with His bride at the Battle of Armageddon and fulfill the Feast of Tabernacles by reigning on earth a thousand years.

I certainly appreciate your comments don't discourage anyone from voicing their opinion. Although, I admire Chuck Missler as he is a brilliant man... Jesus tell us in Matt 24:4:

And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

You're very words Betty are contradictory to what scripture says. The 1830 "rapture revelation" is a joke... and all who believe that is when it started clearly isn't studying scripture, but instead are listening to man. I think that we can agree that Jesus Himself is the first one who ever mentions an escape of any kind in regards to faithful, obedient believers in the last days. Unless you have a different interpretation of this verse in Luke 21:34-36?

The Importance of Watching

“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Instead of rewriting it in this reply, simply go back and read your bible and my above post.

I'll also remind everyone that Paul indicates that the escape or "Rapture" is a mystery in 1 Cor 15:51-52...

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

...and mysteries have clues that need to be sought after, dug up like nuggets of valuable treasure, and then pieced together to provide greater knowledge, understanding, and wisdom to see things from God's perspective.

Proverbs 25:2...

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

The one piece of advice that I can say to you Betty, and all who think like you is to simply follow what the Holy Spirit reveals to you through the word of God. Scripture will always interpret scripture. And one thing I believe is certain... If you're not looking for Him then you certainly aren't going! Jesus cannot work where there is unbelief.

Matthew 13:57-58 reads...

So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.” Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

What is tribulation or "great tribulation"?
This century has seen more horrific atrocities statistically than at any other time in history - both by nations and by individuals.
We consider ourselves blessed because we do not live in these nations who suffer for the name of Christ.
They consider themselves blessed because they share in Christ's sufferings.
I think for many, a great tribulation is all ready here.
But the message is for the church . . . and Jesus tells us not to be deceived. I think the final deception - to worship the antichrist and accept his mark - will be the greatest test of faith Christians will face.
I guess that makes me a mid-tribber.
