More than likely this is in our not too distant future!  However; our Lord gave us a promise and hope that we can escape it (Lk 21:36) by obeying the word of God and being ready for the Rapture.  Warn your loved ones and everyone who will listen. The extremely imminent day of the Rapture and Sudden Destruction (1 Thes 5) will bring a whole new meaning to “SALVATION”.

Isaiah 24:13-18 (KJV)

13 When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.

14 They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea. (This is at the Rapture?)

15 Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.

16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. (This is at the Rapture?) But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.

17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare (As in Lk 21:35 below), are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.

18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

Isaiah 26:19-21 (KJV) (Pre-Tribulation Rapture ~ Bride enters the chambers for 7 Days just like a Jewish Wedding)

19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

The above chapter/verse explains how the bride is called by the bridegroom and goes into their chamber. In Jewish custom, they do this for 7 days, and in scripture, one day is as one year; therefore, they are in the chamber for 7 years).  You really have to study the “Jewish Wedding” in order to connect the dots!

The “Post-Trib” belief that this event is at the end of the tribulation just doesn’t make sense.  The Rapture is a mystery as Paul describes in 1 Cor 15:51-52… it’s not the 7th Trumpet Judgment in the book of Revelation.

Luke 21:23-36 (KJV) The “Escape” at the beginning of the Tribulation period…

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape (This “Escape is most likely the “Rapture”) all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. (Emphasis Added)

Near the end of the “7 Year Tribulation”, we (the Bride) come out of the closet and prepare for battle with our King at the Battle of Armageddon!

It has been proposed that Daniel’s 70^th Week could begin in the year 2009 and run through 2016 which equates to the Jewish years of 5770-5776. (Reference Daniel Matson’s work, in particular, Signs of the End.) (For a detailed Jewish calendar, click here. The month of Tishri, aka Rosh Hashana, starts the Jewish new year, which is always in the fall on our Gregorian calendar.)

Although chapter and verses weren’t added to the scriptures until the 14th/15th century… this study attempts to look at Psalms 109 through 119 from a prophetic standpoint, with the view in mind that this period of time may represent Daniel’s 70^th Week and beyond. Could this be a mere coincidence or truly divine?

A Little History

I became aware of Daniel Matson’s work in mid 2005, and the Prophecy in the Psalms concepts somewhere around that same time. As we shall see, Psalm 110, (113), 117, 118, and 119 are particularly intriguing, and initially gave me pause as they were read with the time frame of 2009 – 2018 in mind. However, Psalms 111 through 116 did not appear to fit the description of what would be happening in the world during the time of Daniel’s 70th Week and the Great Tribulation. These ideas were placed on the back burner, and eventually forgotten.

Recently, in his 15-Apr-09 posting at Five Doves – Pentecost Revisited – Pastor FM Riley noted how Psalm 109 seemed to indicate the unveiling of the “opposing one” (Anti-Christ, Man of Sin). With his thoughts on my mind, Psalm 109 through Psalm 119 were re-read again with the view of 2009 (Jewish Year 5770; Sept 19, 2009) – 2018 (Jewish Year 5779; Sept 10, 2018) in mind. It was during these subsequent readings that a new insight was noted which suddenly seemed to make everything fall perfectly into place. This study aims to convey these observations for further scrutiny.

These conclusions are reached in large part through a view of Ezekiel’s prophecy (from Chapter 5) of 430 years where the land did not observe her Sabbath.

Seventy years were paid during the years Israel were in captivity in Babylon. This left 360 years to be paid. There is also the odd verse in Leviticus 26:23-24 where a payment for sin would be multiplied 7 times. This left a total of 2520 years remaining where the land was to be desolate as payment for Israel not observing her Sabbaths when in the land.

Daniel Matson shows in his work that the 2520 years, when converted to 360 day years, runs from:

• July 16, 537 BC (Persian King Cyrus conquered Babylon and issued a decree for the Jews to return to their land) until
  
• May 14, 1948 (Israel reborn as a nation)

Daniel Matson then uses day counts between Jewish feast days and the day counts given in the book of Daniel and Revelation (along with many additional arguments) to propose that the time of Daniel’s 70th Week runs from 2009 through 2016 (Again, keep in mind the Jewish New Years 5770-5776).

J.R. Church and others (including F.M. Riley’s recent article on 15-Apr-09 posting at Five Doves – Pentecost Revisited ) have also proposed that the Psalms may follow a prophetic sequence in terms of the year (in Gregorian calendar years). For example, Psalm 33 relating to the year 1933, Psalm 48 relating to the year 1948, Psalm 67 relating to the year 1967, and so on.

(After reading the above article by J.R. Church, you will see that he has a slightly different interpretation of these particular Psalms… nevertheless, keep reading and you decide!)

The Hypothesis

Psalms 109 – 119 potentially align with the time frame of 2009 – 2019 representing Daniel’s 70^th Week and the first two years of the Millennium.

Psalm 109 – Representing 2009

Psalm 109 sets the table for what is to follow. It starts by the plea for the appointment of a “wicked man” (i.e., Antichrist) and let “an Evil One”, “an accuser”, or “adversary” one to oppose (i.e., Satan). Notice the text states two different individuals!

This is in verse 6 of Psalm 109:

⁶ Set a wicked man over him, and let an accuser stand at his right hand (NKJV).

⁶ Appoint an evil man to oppose him; let an accuser stand at his right hand. (NIV)

⁶ Set thou a wicked man over him; And let an adversary stand at his right hand. (ASV)

⁶ Appoint Thou over him the wicked, And an adversary standeth at his right hand. (YLT)

The “accuser” throughout scripture is Satan. But there is also another section of Psalm 109 that is striking. These are verses 21–31:

²¹ But You, O GOD the Lord, Deal with me for Your name’s sake; Because Your mercy is good, deliver me. ²² For I am poor and needy, And my heart is wounded within me. ²³ I am gone like a shadow when it lengthens; I am shaken off like a locust.
²⁴ My knees are weak through fasting, And my flesh is feeble from lack of fatness. ²⁵ I also have become a reproach to them; When they look at me, they shake their heads.

²⁶ Help me, O LORD my God! Oh, save me according to Your mercy, ²⁷ That they may know that this is Your hand— That You, LORD, have done it! ²⁸ Let them curse, but You bless; When they arise, let them be ashamed, But let Your servant rejoice. ²⁹ Let my accusers be clothed with shame, And let them cover themselves with their own disgrace as with a mantle.

³⁰ I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; Yes, I will praise Him among the multitude. ³¹ For He shall stand at the right hand of the poor, To save him from those who condemn him.

Here the cry turns to the Lord to save the one who is poor and needy, the one who’s heart is wounded, and fading away.

In verses 26 and 27, the Psalmist cries out:

“Help me, O Lord, my God; save me in accordance with your love. Let them know that it is your hand, that you, O Lord, have done it.”

Imagine Israel crying out these words to God Almighty as the many accusers, and the newly appointed Evil One, stand around Israel and accuse her.

I want to point out another possible connection that I see in this verse that possibly indicates the timing for this representing 2009. Notice in verses 22-25:

²² For I am poor and needy,
And my heart is wounded within me.
²³ I am gone like a shadow when it lengthens;
I am shaken off like a locust.
²⁴ My knees are weak through fasting,
And my flesh is feeble from lack of fatness.
²⁵ I also have become a reproach to them;
When they look at me, they shake their heads.

Is it possible that this verse correlates with Isaiah 17 and the timing of the destruction of Damascus? In particular verse 4:

⁴ “ In that day it shall come to pass That the glory of Jacob will wane, And the fatness of his flesh grow lean.

This could be a stretch, and I’m certainly open for discussion; but it appears to me that all nations are starting to turn against Israel, and verse 4 of Isaiah 17 matches up with verse 24 of Psalm 109?

Almost all theologians believe that this destructive event is on the horizon. We all can agree that the terrorist, Jihadist group of Hezbollah primarily resides in Damascus, Syria; and they are interconnected to some degree with Fatah and Hamas of the Palestinian Territories; Al-Qaeda, The Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt and the Taliban of Afghanistan! Therefore, the destruction of Damascus as described in Isaiah 17 makes perfect sense at this time… simply keep your eyes and ears open to foreign news sources. But make no mistake about it… this is NOT the Battle of Ezk 38-39 yet… keep reading and you’ll see when this war starts in my opinion!

Psalm 110 – Representing 2010 (Jewish Year 5770; Sept 19, 2009) – Daniel’s Final Week – 1st Year

Before you read any further, I ask you to do something. Go to your Bible, and read Psalm 110 (NKJV). Let the Spirit and the Word minister to you. In fact, read it several times through. For Psalm 110 happens to be one of the most amazing passages in all of God’s wonderful Holy Scriptures. Here it is, in its entirety from the NIV:

Psalm 110:1-7…Of David. A psalm.

1 The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”

² The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion; you will rule in the midst of your enemies.

³ Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy majesty, from the womb of the dawn you will receive the dew of your youth.

⁴ The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”

⁵ The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.

⁶ He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.

⁷ He will drink from a brook beside the way; therefore he will lift up his head.

These passages surely point to Christ and the ministry he was going to have – one in the order of Melchizedek. But look at verse 1!

Christ today is ministering for His bride in the Heavenly Holy of Holies. This we are told in Hebrews (reference Chapter 7, esp vs 25). But again, look what happens in verse 1:

The Lord (the Father) says to my Lord (Jesus):

“Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”

It is as if the Father is telling his Son, “WELL DONE! Now, sit and watch my mighty arm work on your behalf.”

Do you see the tie between Psalm 109 (the accuser, the Evil One, and Israel crying out to be saved (as the “Rapture” or “Escape” has already happened) and Psalm 110:5 speaks of how the Lord will “crush kings on the day of his wrath” (the Lord starting to move to make his enemies a footstool for the Messiah?). Oh, that day is nearly here!

Psalm 111 – Representing 2011 (Jewish Year 5771; Sept 9, 2010) – Daniel’s Final Week T = 2nd Year

This is where the key comes to understanding the next six Psalms, from Psalm 111 through Psalm 116. Do not read them from the perspective of the world, which will start down the process of literally being torn apart at the seams. Read them, instead, from the perspective of the Jewish people, and in particular, the 144,000 sealed by the Holy Spirit and those who hear the ministry of the Two Witnesses! These Psalms, praise God, show Israel’s heart starting to soften!

Look at Psalm 111:3-4:

³ His work is honorable and glorious,
And His righteousness endures forever.
⁴ He has made His wonderful works to be remembered;
The LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

Will God Almighty work wonders to allow Israel to remember the wonders of old? You better believe it! What might these be? Look at verse 5:

⁵ He has given food to those who fear Him;
He will ever be mindful of His covenant.

Here He is providing food as this could be due to the results of the “Rider of the 3rd (Black) Horse of Famine”.

Look how Psalm 111 ends in verse 10:

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.”

Is this verse talking about national Israel beginning to learn true wisdom from the fear of the Lord? Oh, Glory if this is so!

Psalm 112 – Representing 2012 (Jewish Year 5772; Sept 29, 2011) – Daniel’s Final Week T = 3rd Year

The themes expressed here seem to represent one standing firm in the Lord when those around in the world are experiencing great anguish and fear. Sound reasonable for the second year of Daniel’s 70^th Week? You better believe it!

From verse 4 “even in darkness light dawns for the upright”,

verse 7 “He will have no fear of bad news;”

verse 8 “His heart is secure, he will have no fear;”

while all the time, as verse 10 notes:

“The wicked man will see and be vexed, he will gnash his teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.”

Notice the phrase “gnash his teeth”… this phrase and “outer darkness” in other parts of scripture indicates the “Tribulation” period. See Matt 8:12; Matt 22:13; Matt 24:51; Matt 25:30; and Luke 13:28. Read these verses in context as I see it representing the Tribulation Period. What do you think?

Note also the blessing in verse 2 “the generation of the upright will be blessed.” Will this be THE GENERATION that lives to see the return of Messiah? Oh, praise God! Will this be THE GENERATION of Israel that finally, finally lives uprightly in full view of the KING?

Psalm 113 – Representing 2013 (Jewish Year 5773; Sept 17, 2012) – Daniel’s Final Week T = 3 Year

Here, praise of the Lord continues. Enough said.

Thoughts by Randall about Psalm 113 and the corresponding time period:

Now, Erik didn’t have anything to add in regards to Psalm 113; however, I believe he missed a VITAL part to this all important Psalm. At this point the “Abomination that causes Desolation” has occurred and Israel’s eyes are completely opened now… Keep Reading!

Not only does the Praising of the Lord continue, but in verses 7-8 there appears to be a type of “Resurrection” here. Now pay close attention and let me know what you think. (YLT)

7 He is raising up from the dust the poor, From a dunghill He exalteth the needy. 8 To cause to sit with princes, With the princes of His people.

In verses 7 & 8 as stated above, a resurrection of “righteous” Jews seems to take place and they will meet the already “Raptured” Bride who were taken 3.5 years earlier. IF this takes place in the middle of the Tribulation, does this equate to what Daniel 12:2 says which also takes place in the middle of the Tribulation (Start of Great Tribulation) (YLT):

2 And the multitude of those sleeping in the dust of the ground do awake, some to life age-during, and some to reproaches — to abhorrence age-during.

In this verse, keeping it in context, it appears that not only were righteous Jews resurrected (as indicated in Psalm 113:7-8), but also unrighteous Jews were as well; some are raised to “life age-during” (i.e., everlasting life), while the other group could be the Jews whom never believed in God as they are raised to “reproaches — to abhorrence age-during” (i.e., to shame and everlasting contempt).

IF Psalms 113 represents the year 2013 (Jewish Year 5773 – Sept 17, 2012 – Sept 4, 2013), then this possibly ties into my theory of this time being “Mid-Trib” (a.k.a., The Abomination of Desolation) Dan 11:31; Dan 12:11; Matt 24:15. You can also validate this time period with Revelation 10:1-7:

The Mighty Angel with the Little Book

¹ I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.

² He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, ³ and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices.

⁴ Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.”

⁵ The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven ⁶ and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, ⁷ but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.

And again with Dan 12:4-12:

⁴ “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
⁵ Then I, Daniel, looked; and there stood two others, one on this riverbank and the other on that riverbank. ⁶ And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?”
⁷ Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.
⁸ Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things?”
⁹ And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. ¹⁰ Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.
¹¹ “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. ¹² Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

Now on a side note… Ironically enough, this time also corresponds to the Mayan Calendar End Date and the Winter Solstice of Dec 21, 2012. Is it a mere coincidence that the Mayan calendar declares that there is no more time on this date? Their calendar stops because it’s Mid-Trib and God’s grace has come to an end? The Mayans also believed that at this time when the Sun aligns with our Milky Way Galaxy that a “window into the underworld will open up”. (The Mayan Calendar and the 2012 Planetary Alignment can be best explained by John Major Jenkins.) At the same time, in Revelation 12:7-17, Satan is thrown down to the earth to have his way for the final 3.5 years (NKJV).

Satan Thrown Out of Heaven

⁷ And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, ⁸ but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. ⁹ So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

¹⁰ Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren (just as in Psalms 109:6), who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. ¹¹ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. ¹² Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

The Woman (Israel) Persecuted

¹³ Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. ¹⁴ But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle (possibly the United States?), that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time (3.5 years remaining), from the presence of the serpent.

¹⁵ So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. ¹⁶ But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. ¹⁷ And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring (Saints/Christians who came to Christ during the Tribulation and those Christians who missed the Rapture because they were not living obediently to God’s word before the Rapture occured), who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Also, the “Mid-Trib” time frame is apparent as you keep reading in Daniel 12:7 where he tells us there are only 3.5 years remaining until Jesus’ Second Coming (i.e., The Great Tribulation):

⁷And I hear the one clothed in linen, who [is] upon the waters of the flood, and he doth lift up his right hand and his left unto the heavens, and sweareth by Him who is living to the age, that, `After a time, times, and a half, and at the completion of the scattering of the power of the holy people, finished are all these.‘

And further in verses 10-11:

¹⁰Purify themselves, yea, make themselves white, yea, refined are many: and the wicked have done wickedly, and none of the wicked understand, and those acting wisely do understand;

¹¹and from the time of the turning aside of the perpetual [sacrifice], and to the giving out of the desolating abomination, [are] days a thousand, two hundred, and ninety.

I think it’s important to continue to look at a few more details that are taking place at this time. Notice in verse 7 above, Daniel makes reference to a “Flood”, during my studies, a flood in biblical terms is sometimes represented as “War”. (I read that flood=war in a book by J.R. Church “They Pierced the Vail”; nevertheless)… Even if that’s not the case, Daniel 12:2-7 validates that a resurrection takes place at mid-trib; therefore…

This nugget takes me over to Ezk 37 (The Valley of Dry Bones Resurrection). Many pulpit “preachers” these days teach that this text is allegorically referring to the rebirth of Israel… I believe they are wrong in their interpretation. This is NOT allegorical, but instead LITERAL! As unnatural as this text may sound, I believe this text is speaking of an actual resurrection of the Jewish people… As we’ve already discovered stated in Dan 12:2 and in Psalms 113:7 above.

This Ezk 37 text gives a vivid description of this resurrection… But take note in verses 10-11:

¹⁰And I have prophesied as He commanded me, and the Spirit cometh into them, and they live, and stand on their feet — a very very great force.

The NKJV says they became “an exceedingly great army“!

¹¹And He saith unto me, `Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; lo, they are saying: Dried up have our bones, And perished hath our hope, We have been cut off by ourselves.

Notice the text says they have been “cut-off” by themselves… they never believed God, so could these people be the Jews who are raised to “Shame and everlasting contempt” as stated in Daniel 12:2?

At this point you see there now exists an “Exceedingly Great Army” possessing the land of Israel… the final 3.5 years, the “Great Tribulation”. Could this be part of the reason that a demonic, angelic army of 200,000,000 goes forth to slay 1/3 of mankind from the East as stated in the 6th Trumpet War in Revelation 9? We know this is NOT a human army because research by Joel Young shows there are only approximately 60 million horses in the world.

I believe that right after this resurrection of Ezk 37, the world will finally see Ezk 38 & 39 come to pass, the War of Gog/Magog which will continue up to and conclude at the Battle of Armageddon!

Therefore, I too am only a student of Eschatology and feel there is some relevance to what going on here at “Mid-Trib” with the data I’ve just presented here in Psa 113.

As the final 3.5 years unfold, the Jews are heavily persecuted as stated in Zechariah 11-14, and other scriptures, and the Blood Moons that take place in 2014-2015 on Jewish Feast Days.

Psalm 114 – Representing 2014 (Jewish Year 5774) – Daniel’s Final Week T = 4 Year

We will now be entering the last half of the final week of Daniel. This is otherwise known as the Great Tribulation. This Psalm proclaims that the land of Israel is God’s dominion, and that the earth will tremble at the presence of the Lord.

¹ When Israel came out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign tongue,

² Judah became God’s sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

And, verse 7 “Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,”.

Could this equate to the 7th Trumpet of Revelation 11:15-19 when the Kingdom is Proclaimed? Pay particular attention to verse 18:

“The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that you should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”

This would appear to now start the War of Gog/Magog of Ezk 38-39!

Psalm 115 – Representing 2015 (Jewish Year 5775)– Daniel’s Final Week T = 5 Year

This Psalm speaks to the glory of the Lord, and the Lord remembering the house of Israel and Aaron. Look especially at verse 12

“The Lord remembers us and will bless us: He will bless the house of Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron”.

Do you think this remembrance will be important to the nation of Israel one year into the Great Tribulation? But this Psalm also exhorts Israel and the house of Aaron to trust in the Lord, their “help and shield”, as noted in verses 9 and 10.

This Psalm in verses 4 – 8 also speaks of the futility of human idols, made of silver and gold, and by the hands of men. Israel’s God, the God who is in heaven, by contrast, “does whatever pleases him”, as noted in verse 3.

I like in particular how verse 18 would line up with truth… being that now Israel’s spiritual eyes are finally opened after the “Abomination of Desolation”, they will “Bless the Lord from this time forth and forevermore.” This is totally amazing isn’t it?

Psalm 116 – Representing 2016 (Jewish Year 5776) – Daniel’s Final Week T = 6 Year

Approximately six years will now be completed of Daniel’s final week. The earth will be weary, and those left will be drastically reduced in number. Those who have come to faith during this period, both in Israel and in the gentile lands, will also have faced severe persecution.

Zachariah speaks how 2/3 of the nation of Israel will be cut off during this time. Revelation speaks of those loosing their lives on behalf of the Lamb as being “countless” (reference Revelation Chapter 7). This is mentioned for in Psalm 116 is one of the most somber and sweet verses in scripture. Look at verse 15:

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”

The Antichrist will be in full rage against God’s people at this time, and especially towards the nation of Israel. It is likely most will have fled to the wilderness by now. Look at verse 3:

“The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.”

But in the midst of all this, Psalm 116 speaks of how the Lord still watches over those who call upon him, and how the Lord protects the simple-hearted and gives rest to those who are dismayed.

Psalm 117 – Representing 2017 (Jewish Year 5777) – Daniel’s Final Week T = 7 Year

Well, this is it. This represents the year of the Return of the King. What would you write for such a climactic ending to the prior 6 days, the prior 6,000 years, of man’s day upon the earth? This is the sunset of man’s day, and the dawn of the Lord’s day – the dawn of the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ! Praise God Almighty! What, I ask, might you write? Well, the Lord has already written it in Psalm 117. It is the shortest Psalm in the book, the shortest book in the Bible, made up of only two verses.

Psalm 117

¹ Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples.

² For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD.

The “Praise the Lord” at the end of the Psalm, in Hebrew, is actually Hallelu Yah, from where we get Hallelujah! I say again, what might one write in regards to the Return of the King? What might those alive on earth say, at the Return of the King, after having gone through a literal hell on earth? I can think of no words more simple and profound than those recorded in Psalm 117.

Hallelujah!

Psalm 118 – Representing 2018 (Jewish Year 5778) – Millennial Reign Year 1

Now, if you just lived through the prior seven years, what might you write? Psalm 118 is so profound, you really must read it in this context to understand what is being written. Every verse speaks specifically about the trials faced the believers, and especially Israel, during the previous seven years and how the Lord delivered them! Here are the first seven verses, just to whet your appetite:

¹ Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

² Let Israel say: “His love endures forever.”

³ Let the house of Aaron say: “His love endures forever.”

⁴ Let those who fear the LORD say: “His love endures forever.”

⁵ In my anguish I cried to the LORD, and he answered by setting me free.

⁶ The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

⁷ The LORD is with me; he is my helper. I will look in triumph on my enemies.

Need more??? How about verse 10?

“All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the Lord I cut them off.”

How about verse 18?

“The Lord has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death.”

Or verse 21?

“I will give thanks, for you answered me; you have become my salvation.”

Or, verse 22 and 23:

“The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.”

Do you think that verse was fulfilled during the age of grace? Oh, look at the glorious ways of our Lord! The STONE the builders rejected has now become the capstone! Jesus Christ the Lord is now reigning! Hallelujah!

Or, verse 24: “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Where does it end??? The day (1,000 years) of the Lord is now at hand! This is the beginning of the Lord’s day! Again, Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Brother and sister in Christ, read Psalm 118 with the view that this is the first year of the Millennium, the first year after Israel has been rescued from the flood of the Tribulation. Read it and be blessed. Hallelujah!

Psalm 119 – Representing 2019 (Jewish Year 5779) – Millennial Reign Year 2

And now, the last of the Psalms that we will look at – Psalm 119. We all know what Psalm 119 stand for – it is the love Psalm for the word, the word and law of the Lord. Look how verse 1 starts:

“Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.”

National Israel, now saved, will be living in full view of the Lord upon the earth. The church will be seated with the Lord in the heavenly places. Israel will now finally have their heart of flesh. No longer will their heart be one of stone, in fulfillment of Ezekiel’s prophecy. Israel will now be able to complete her mission, what she was always created to do.

Israel (as did Shem) has always had a “God” in her tent, going way back to the days of Shem, Ham, and Japheth (Reference Genesis 9:42-27). It has been God’s plan that Israel take her spiritual knowledge of the Lord and minister to the world, that the whole world may be full of God’s glory. This will now happen. But first, National Israel is schooled upon the Law of the Lord, where it is now written upon their hearts – hearts of flesh. Praise God! Hallelujah

Conclusions

First off, this has been written briefly, and it is already over seven pages on the MS Word document that is being typed. Cross references to other scriptures are certainly there for others to pursue. It was the intent to write this and share in as quick and concise of a manner possible.

Secondly, apologies are made to anyone who may have already published this information. I am not aware of anyone who has tied Psalms 110 – 119 specifically to the years 2010 – 2019, but I have not done extensive searches to verify this. If this is you, please feel blessed that the Holy Spirit is confirming your earlier work. If this is new, may you put these ideas to the test of God’s Word. Please note that these thoughts have come about, as noted in the beginning, mainly from the works of Daniel Matson and those who have published works on the Prophecy of the Psalms, namely J.R. Church and Pastor FM Riley.

And lastly, if the Psalms are indeed prophetic in the sense of a year for a Psalm, then we truly may be at the beginning of both a most wondrous time, yet also a most difficult time. You will note that no predictions of when the rapture would take place are presented in this brief study. However, this writer believes the Scriptures are very clear that the church will not be on earth when

“The LORD says to my Lord: Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”

I took some pretty good notes throughout the entire video teaching of Perry’s talk on this subject. I’m posting the text in detail because it seems that the video taping #316 doesn’t always play very well. A foundational scripture to keep in mind throughout this teaching is Eccl 1:9:

“That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.”

And again in Eccl 3:14-15, where it says the same thing.

I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him. That which is has already been, and what is to be has already been; and God requires an account of what is past.

Often we’ve heard that history will eventually repeat itself. For Example:

In the beginning of Jesus’ ministry He fasted for 40 days (Matt 4:2); At the end of His ministry He was alive for 40 days. (Acts 1:3) There’s a pattern of 40 days here.

At the beginning of Jesus’ ministry Satan said “If you are the Son of God…” (Matt 4:3); At the end of His ministry they were saying “If you are the Son of God…” (Matt 27:57-60)

At the beginning of Jesus’ ministry there was a King Herod (Matt 2:1) who died after His birth; At the end of Jesus’ ministry there was another King Herod. (Luke 9:7-9)

Things generally end the way they begin… And as they began, so will they end. History repeats itself.

Take another example the life of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy (JFK):

• They were elected exactly 100 years apart.
• Both of their VPs were born 100 years apart.
• Both of their assigns were born 100 years apart.
• Both of them were shot in the head in the presence of their wife.
• Both lost a child while living in the White House as President.
• Both foresaw that they were going to be killed.
• Lincoln was shot in the Ford Theater; Kennedy was shot in a Ford Lincoln automobile.
• Lincoln had a secretary named Kennedy; Kennedy had a secretary named Lincoln.

These are only just a few parallels showing (Eccl 1:9 – “The thing that has been, so it shall be…”)

Also, consider the parallels of King Herod and to Yasser Arafat:

• Both were leaders in an area known as Palestine.
• Both were sick when there was an eclipse of the moon.
• The cause of their illnesses was unknown.
• Both went outside their home to find a cure.
• Both had political dealings with the Jews.
• Both were hated by the majority of the Jews.
• Both met with men from Babylon (Magi) and Persian leaders.
• Both dealt with traitors in a violent manner.
• Both died in the month of November.
• It was speculated that both were poisoned.
• Both had very large funerals in their country.
• Both had dealings with Bethlehem (Herod is buried there).
• Both ordered innocent children to be killed (Herod the babies of Bethlehem; Arafat through terrorism).
• Both were reported dead before they actually died.
• Both escaped death several times during their lifetime.
• Both named no successor which caused confusion as to who was in charge.
• Both lived in a time when Christ was coming to earth.
• Both were very wealthy-much of it hidden from the population.

Again, what’s most interesting here is that you see how history repeats itself. The history of the past is the prophetic future.

Now turn to Genesis Ch. 11. Going backwards lets look at each chapter and see if there are words, phrases, or clues that parallel the end of days according to Revelation.

Chapter 11 deals with the Nations and the Tower of Babel:

• There is a universal language (Ch. 11:1-2, 4, 9)… Today, English is the universal language.
• Also, a group of men came from the east from the land of Shanar; A tower had been build and was destroyed.

Now if we look at what has caused the entire world to change, it’s all centered around 9/11. The “War on Terror” has affected the world. A group of men who are from the East came and destroyed the Twin Towers.

What’s interesting is that the tower of Babel fell in Babylon; which is today Iraq where war is fought and people are scattered. You say, “ok”, but keep reading!

Chapter 10 has a pattern that deals with the Sons of Japheth who are Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meschech, and Tiras:

This is important because one of the events that HAS NOT happened yet is the “Battle of Gog and Magog” of Ezekiel Ch. 38 & 39.

Gen 10:10 talks about the kingdom of Babel (a picture of Iraq). Verse 25 talks about “Peleg”, which in the Greek means “Earthquake”, “Division”, “The Earth was Divided”. The parallel is that these are the same territories that are spoken of in Ezk 38 & 39 as signs of the End-Times.

Chapter 9 discusses the days of Noah:

And in Luke 17:26 it talks about “And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man.

Now notice these three clues:

1. Gen 9:6 – “ Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God he made man”. This is a warning about shedding innocent blood which is going on all over the word today with abortions.
   

   The Days of Noah

2. Gen 9:21 – Noah planted a vineyard – “Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and became uncovered in his tent.” The pattern here is drunkenness as Luke warned about as a sign of the last days (Luke 21:34).
3. Gen 9:22 - “And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.” Vs. 25 “So Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done to him.” The pattern here is homosexuality and its acceptance world-wide.

Chapter 8: One of the main themes listed here is the Dove, which is mentioned three different times in verses 9-12. According to Matthew 3:16, the Dove is a picture of the Holy Spirit.

This is a picture of God pouring out His Spirit in the last days, which happens prior to the Lord coming for the Bride (Rapture). We can of course already see an outpouring of the Spirit during the last century. More so as of late where you see more Baptists, Catholics, Lutherans, etc. being baptized in the Holy Spirit. It’s not just limited to the Charismatic churches any longer.

Chapter 7: One of the keys here is in verse 11:

“…on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.”

This alludes to terrible weather patterns coming (i.e., Tsunamis from the “deep”, and Hurricanes/Storms from the “windows of heaven”.) As birth pains come upon a woman with child, so will there be more upon us very soon.

Chapter 6: It tells us that the earth has become extremely populated.

And “that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” “And that violence had filled the earth.”

This is already happening and will only continue to happen until the Lord comes.

Now in 2 Thessalonians 2:7, the bible speaks of when violence reaches it peak, or that the cup of iniquity is full, the Lord returns and the “Man of Sin” is revealed.

Chapter 5:24: This is where Enoch is out walking with the Lord and is caught up, or translated to Heaven to be with the Lord. This is a picture of the Rapture.

Chapter 4:8: Here you have Cane killing Able. And we know from the bible that people will be killed and martyred for receiving Jesus Christ during the Tribulation period.

Then in verse 15, you have a Mark being put on Cane’s head. This could be a hint concerning the “Mark of the Beast”, that will be on the Right Hand or Forehead, which is found in Rev 13:16. Could this be yet again, more proof of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture?

Cane is also saying that his punishment will be 7 times or 7 fold… And the coming Tribulation period is 7 years in length split into two periods of 42 months (Rev 11:2, 13:5). This is an allusion of the Tribulation Period.

Isn’t this amazing how God appears to be letting us know the future by these patterns and parallels?

Chapter 3: This chapter deals with the binding of Satan.

Verse 15 says, “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

Therefore; after the Tribulation God deals with the binding of Satan Rev 20:2-3.

“He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.”

This is the predicted defeat of Satan.

Chapter 2: After the binding of Satan; Jesus rules and reigns for 1000 years.

Verse 2:1 says: “Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished.” V4 “This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created…” This could be alluding to the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ.

Then after the Millennial reign we step into Eternity where everything is created perfect.

Chapter 1: Everything was perfect at the time God created the Garden of Eden.

It’s going to end the way it started!

Check this out:

In Chapters 1&2, there’s NO Sin, NO Pain; NO Sorrow; NO Death; NO Mention of the Devil; and God walks with Man; and the last two chapters of Revelation there is NO SIN; NO Pain; NO Sorrow; NO Death; NO Mention of the Devil; and God walks with Man. It’s going to end the way it started.

Our God is a God of patterns, symbolism, types, and shadows. In order to tap into the deeper things of God you have to know how God works.

Remember Eccl 1:9 “That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.”

One of the main key points to this entire study is how in Ch. 5 Enoch is translated (Raptured) to Heaven BEFORE the Tribulation of Ch. 4.

Although this is a very unique way to look at scripture and it’s only a theory; it very well could be true.

Thank you so much to all of you who have shown interest in the book, welcomed me to your cities, invited me onto your radio and TV shows, written about the book on your weblogs, and emailed me with your encouragement and support. I deeply appreciate it and I hope and pray that we’ve had an opportunity to get Americans thinking seriously about the threats we face during this election year, and in the years ahead.

Over the past two and a half months, by God’s grace, I have had the privilege of addressing more than 85,000 people at events around the country, and more than 15 million people through various media interviews. The novel has spent the last nine weeks on the New York Times best-seller list, reaching as high as #4. In May, it hit #2 on the Publishers Weekly Religion best-seller list.

Still, one question continues to haunt me: How many Americans truly appreciate just how determined various extremist groups are about using nuclear weapons to decapitate the U.S. government and annihilate the American people? (emphasis added) Not enough, in my view.

That is, in part, why I wrote Dead Heat, to warn people of an increasingly real worst case scenario: multiple nuclear terrorist attacks against the American homeland. Yet today I remained convinced that far too many Americans are being lulled into a false sense of security. (emphasis added) Too many have become complacent. They think the threat has passed. But it has not. And if we are not careful, we may be blindsided by an email we don’t see coming.

Dead Heat, of course, is only a novel. But now, just as the book tour has come to an end, we find new evidence that al-Qaeda is, in fact, envisioning the use of weapons of mass destruction inside the United States, in cities like Washington, D.C.

Consider the following story:

“Washington is laid to waste. The Capitol is a blackened, smoking ruin. The White House has been razed. Countless thousands are dead. This is the apocalyptic scene terrorists hope to create if they ever get their hands on a nuclear bomb.”

So began a March 30th article in the U.K. Daily Mail, along with this computer-generated image (above), which was posted this an Islamic extremists’ website May 29, 2008.

“It appeared as rumors swept the Internet that the FBI was warning that an Al Qaeda video was about to be released urging militants to use weapons of mass destruction to attack the West….The FBI was quick to point out that it had not issued any warning and that the video was not an official Al Qaeda release through its media arm, Al Sahab, but simply an ‘ amateur’ collection of old footage spliced together and posted on the Internet. U.S. analysts said a lot of effort had been put into the video — entitled Nuclear Jihad, The Ultimate Terror — with graphics, music, and clips of different leaders and groups. The same expertise seems to have gone into creating this image of a devastated Washington. Al Sahab puts out more than 80 ‘officially sanctioned’ videos a year to keep up the propaganda on the West. And the Internet shows how easy it is to stir up militancy. One message with the Washington picture said: ‘The next strikes in the heart of America. When? When? When? And How?’ Last night FBI sources said Al Qaeda was desperate to get its hands on a weapon of mass destruction, be it nuclear, chemical, or biological.”

What will it take to get America to wake up to this threat, before it is too late?

In response to the above article; Upon further research… I found that this particular threat was actually bogus.

Nevertheless, do not be deceived into thinking that there is no threat. There is plenty of evidence around the world that points to a coming attack very soon.

According to the Bible, there is a war coming, a Jihadist war against Israel where certain Islamic countries are named in Ezk 38 & 39. It’s commonly called; “The Battle of Gog and Magog”. I believe that you will find it most interesting that these chapters mention nothing about Syria and Iraq in this upcoming war. Could it be that Iraq is now a Democracy and that Syria is destroyed just before that war takes place? (Read about Syria’s (Damascus) destruction in Isaiah Ch 17)

Those who are not blind to the truth can see the festering Islamic Fundamental, Jihad movement not only in the middle-east, but all over the world.

(YouTube Video…one of many) Islamic Fundamentalists are chomping at the bit for their next attack. History proves that they usually attack US within the first year of new leadership. (Clinton in 1993, Bush in 2001)

In June of 1967, the Israeli air force pre-empted an air assault against the Egyptian air force, thus beginning the famous 6 Day War. Nassar, the President of Egypt had previously engaged Israel in a war in 1956.

For several weeks Israeli intelligence observed Russian made military weaponry and equipment being positioned near the Egyptian border and Nassar was announcing he would soon, “push the Jews into the ocean.”

Despite global criticism, Israel struck at the heart of the Egyptian air force, crippling hundreds of Egyptian air craft, rendering their air power helpless. At that moment the surrounding borders began to change. Nasser drew the Jordanians into the conflict by threatening to assassinate the King of Jordan, if he refused to participate. The Jordanians had the most to lose. They controlled all of the West Bank and all of East Jerusalem. As Jordan reluctantly entered the violent conflict, the Syrians began a thrust toward Tiberias, using the latest Russian tanks. Imagine the surprise when 6 days later, Egypt, Jordan and Syria were defeated and a cease fire was called. The Arabs demanded the United States force Israel to stop the war. The Israeli military was pushing across the Negev desert toward Cairo and were also headed toward Damascus, the capitol of Syria.

Just as PM Ariel Sharon was put into a coma due to his giving up of the land in Gaza in 2005, watch and see if something dramatic happens to PM Olmert for further dividing up the city of Jerusalm.

The Ezekiel Option is based on the prophecies found in the Bible, specifically in the Book of Ezekiel, chapters 38 and 39; remarkably, the Hebrew Prophet Ezekiel, writing more than 2,500 years ago, was able to look down the corridors of time and see nations not yet born, and alliances not yet formed. In doing so, he foretold the rise of a Russian military alliance with Iran and other Middle Eastern countries to annihilate Israel during the earth’s “last days.” This is known by many Bible scholars as the “War of Gog and Magog.” In this war, Ezekiel says the world will see a supernatural judgment of these enemies of Israel, and a spiritual awakening unparalleled in human history.

Few, however, are familiar with these important end times prophecies. Fewer still can imagine such events ever occurring. The Ezekiel Option was written to help people learn more about these dramatic coming events, and to help people understand what such events might look like if they were to play out in our lifetime.

FIRST THINGS FIRST

In a moment, I will walk you through the prophecies step-by-step. But first thing, let me note that the predictions found in Ezekiel chapters 36 & 37 have already come true. These are the famous chapters that foretell:

• The rebirth of the State of Israel in the end times (both chapters) 1948-AD!

• The return of the Jews to the Holy Land after centuries in exile (36:10-11, 36:24) Still currently in progress!

• The rebuilding of the ancient ruins in Israel (36:36) Currently in progress!

• The re-blossoming of desolate, desert lands to produce abundant food, fruit and foliage (36:8-9 Still currently in progress! and 36:30-35 Has NOT happened yet!)

• The creation of an “exceedingly great army” (37:10) Has NOT happened yet!

Such prophecies began to be fulfilled in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, accelerated in 1948 and 1967, and continue to come to pass to this day. This, of course, raises an intriguing question: If Ezekiel 36 has largely come true in our lifetime, isn’t it possible that Ezekiel 37, 38 and 39 will soon come true as well?

That said, let’s examine Ezekiel 38 and 39 more carefully.

• WHO will be involved in the “War of Gog and Magog”?
• WHAT will happen as this war begins and ends?
• WHEN will these events happen?
• WHERE will these events happen?
• WHY will these events happen?

In The Ezekiel Option, the characters carefully research the prophecy to try to understand if what they are seeing unfold before their very eyes is what was described by God in the Bible. That is, they go on a journey similar to my own in trying to understand these coming events. Every source I quote in the novel pertaining to Ezekiel 38 and 39 is real and accurate. What follows is an executive summary of the research I did for the novel.

UNDERSTANDING “THE WAR OF GOG AND MAGOG”

WHO

In Ezekiel 38:1-6, the Hebrew prophet gives a list of obscure names that will form a united coalition.

• Gog is described as being “of the land of Magog” and as the “prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal.” Most Bible scholars believe Gog is not a name but a title, like Pharaoh or Czar. He is a dictator who will hatch an “evil plan” (38:10).

• Magog = Leading Bible scholars say this is Russia and republics of the former Soviet Union. The first century Roman historian Josephus said the “Magogites” were the peoples whom the Greeks called “Scythians.” Scythians were a fierce, blood-thirsty civilization that settled north of the Baltic Sea in what is now Russia and the European republics of the former USSR.

• Rosh = Russia* Meshech = Some Bible scholars say this is Moscow, others believe it refers to Turkey.

• Tubal = Some Bible scholars say this refers to the city/region of Tobolsk in Russia along the Tobol River; others say it refers to a section of modern-day Turkey. (Interestingly, in 1964, massive reserves of oil and gas were discovered in the Tobolsk region of Siberia and people now refer to the region as the “energy center of Russia.”)* Persia = This was the official name of Iran until 1935.

• Cush = Sudan and Ethiopia.

• Put = Libya, and possibly Algeria and Tunisia.

• Gomer = Turkey, but also possibly Germany and Austria.

• Beth-togarmah = Armenia and the Turkic-speaking peoples of Central Asia.

• “Many peoples with you” who will attack along “the mountains of Israel” = Other countries will be involved in the coalition as well, notably countries that border the mountains of Israel. This includes Lebanon and possibly Jordan.

NOTE: Conspicuously absent from the list is Syria, Egypt and Iraq (typically referred to in Scripture as Babylon or Mesopotamia). This is noteworthy since Ezekiel was writing the prophecy in the City of Babylon, in the heart of Iraq. Syria (Damascus), according to Isaiah 17:14 will become a heap of ruins… completely destroyed. We would have to expect, then, that neither Egypt nor Iraq will participate. This is particularly interesting since Egypt already signed a peace treaty with Israel in 1979 and Iraq is now so engrossed in its own internal struggles that it would be unlikely to join a coalition to destroy Israel in the next few years.

WHAT

Gog’s Plan

38:7 – Gog will build a military coalition and “be prepared” to strike
38:8 – Gog will deploy the coalition against Israel
39:9 – Gog will use overwhelming force against Israel; he and his coalition will “come like a storm….like a cloud covering the land”

God’s Plan

38:2 – The Lord God will bring judgment upon the enemies of Israel, beginning with Gog, the dictator of Russia
38:20 – The Lord will trigger a massive earthquake in which “all the men who are on the face of the earth will shake at My presence”
38:21 – The Lord will turn Gog’s forces against one another
38:22 – The Lord will subject Gog’s coalition forces to:

• pestilence
• blood
• torrential rains
• hailstones
• fire from heaven

39:6 – The Lord will “ send fire upon Magog” itself and others
39:9 – Israel will capture her enemies weapons and burn them for 7 years
39:12 – It will taken 7 full months to bury all the bodies of Israel’s slain enemies 39:17-20 – Birds and beast will feast on the bodies of Israel’s slain enemies

WHEN

38:8 – Israel will be a country again and Jews will be regathered to the Holy Land
38:11, 14 – “My people Israel are living securely” before the “War of Gog and Magog”
38:12-13 – Israel will have economic prosperity
38:16 – “It will come about in the last days” (before the return of Christ)

WHY

39:21 – “I shall set My glory among the nations; and all the nations will see My judgment”
39:22 – “the house of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God”
39:29 – “I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel”

These events will not only be a judgment of Israel’s enemies in keeping with Genesis 12:1-3, in which God says those who bless Israel He will bless, and those who curse Israel He will curse. The events will also be the beginning of a great spiritual awakening. God will literally and metaphorically shake people out of spiritual apathy and lethargy to realize there is a God in heaven. He will also shake people who are following false religions and turn them to Himself.

Moreover, He will shake those who are followers of Christ but not serious about their faith. It should be noted that ours is the first generation in human history in which all the nations on earth will be able to watch the “War of Gog and Magog” unfold because of the emergence of television and satellite technology.

High speed Internet service linked with world wide blogs enable individuals to gain immediate access to information that once took days to rise to the forefront. When a tsunami strikes, the world knows within several minutes. When a child is kidnapped, within an hour the secular media can flash photographs and urgent information on the screen. Such an inrush of information speeding through T-1 lines can give you a brain overload! This overload created the opportunity for numerous forms of speculation.

When dealing with the prophetic word I made every effort to remind people that that there is a difference between prophetic revelation and human speculation. The prophets from the Bible are 100% accurate. Their visions and dreams of coming events will come to pass. The missing element in the mix is the exact timing of each event. We have a “sure word of prophecy” through the revelation of Scripture, but the timing of the events is unknown and subject to human speculation.

We have witnessed this throughout the centuries when sincere believers and some alleged scholars have attempted to pinpoint the exact day and year of Christ’s Return. The most publicized attempt was in 1988, when a man wrote a book, “88 Reasons Why Jesus Will Return in 1988.” When 1988 passed he wrote a follow up book, released in 1989, revealing that his calculation was wrong by one year. Both books sold millions of copies and when 1990 arrived these books were trashed and to my knowledge he has not been heard from since. He was sincere but sincerely wrong in his speculation.

At times when preaching on future events, I will paint a series of scenarios to show how a certain event could come to pass. For example, what will be the trigger to initiate the war of Gog and Magog reported to occur in the future (Ezekiel 38 and 39)? We can see how the rise of Iran (Persia) and the conflict in the Middle East combined with the Palestinian issue will forge a new opportunity for the Islamic enemies of Israel to initiate a sweeping invasion into the Holy Land.

When building a scenario picture I always try to remind the listeners that this is only a possibility of how it could occur. Only time is the interpreter to how these events will unfold.

There is activity in Russia, China, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Israel that is creating prophetic implications. At the same time we must not be overly concerned with the speculations often made by secular journalists and political analysts. I recall two years prior to the year 2000, how “specialist” in the computer industry were warning about the possible damage caused by computers once their internal clocks rolled over to 2000. It seemed experts came out of the closet, all riding the Y2K assessment bandwagon, warning of global catastrophic impact if at midnight on 2000, the computers shut down.

I remember being in Pulaski Virginia, speaking to a man about the issue. He was a former government computer expert worker and he simply laughed and said, “Trust me, nothing big will come of this. The computer industry is feeding this so they can make billions of dollars on folks buying the latest fix and the tech people are making a ton of money by rewriting programs. I remember the speculation was huge that a disaster worse than the depression was coming. After January 1, 2000 everyone began eating their beans and spam!

The same is true with the possible scenarios of a coming terrorist attack and a war with Iran. This year I read a book stating a target date for the war. After selling 1.2 million copies, the author went in and revised the chapter on Israel attacking Iraq and added an interview with a former terrorist. When the book first came out I told a friend, “It is dangerous to set a date on an event, even if it is coming from a specialist.” I remember several years ago I was planning an overseas trip. I had a friend contact a high level person in Washington to see if I should make the trip. The person said, “Hold off on it because President Bush may go to war at that time” I canceled the trip and the war never came in November. It came 5 months later! Was I ever disappointed that I canceled the trip!

We know major events will occur. There is coming another terror attack. I have seen several details of what will happen but have no indication of the time frame. Will Iran be the next war? Unless they change their tune, eventually a war will come. But again there is no time frame revealed or given. Some are putting a war off into 2008 and as far as 2009. In the mean time I will stay close to the Lord, stay in pray, keep planning and preaching just the way Christ told me to do (occupy till I come).

Continue to plan, be alert and stay close to Jesus.
